Does interactivity work on all email clients?
The email will be interactive for anyone opening their emails on Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL, or Apple Mail (about ~80% of email client opens). For email clients that don’t support interactivity, we show a fully customizable fallback design (what your email looks like today).
Do I need to build the whole email in Spellbound?
Yes! You need to design the whole email in Spellbound to use our interactive widgets. It’s not possible to only design the interactive portion in Spellbound and the rest in Klaviyo. Our platform is equipped to handle all aspects of your email design, so you can use the platform to design your entire email, whether it's interactive or not.

What is Fallback?
Some email clients like Outlook and Hotmail block receiving interactive emails, so for those people who use these email clients, we still want to show what you would normally use in a static email e.g., image block with link to Postscript SMS opt-in. When designing your fallback experience, please ensure it conveys the same message and call-to-action as your interactive version. This may involve using static images or buttons that link to web pages, replicating the interactive experience as closely as possible.

What is a hover state image?
For our gamification widgets, hover states (i.e. what people will see when they hover over the image without clicking) are optional, but they drastically improve the experience of using our interactive widgets on desktop.
How do I add a unsubscribe link in footer?
Unsubscribe is the same as how it would be in Klaviyo: {% unsubscribe %} or {% unsubscribe_link %} and View in Browser is {% web_view %}.
How do I add personalization such as first name?
You can see a list of all variables here. You would just type out the variable as you normally would into the Spellbound designer.
Is it possible to remove the ''Made with Spellbound'' badge under widgets?
Unfortunately not at the moment! Part of the goal for using Spellbound is to increase awareness about interactive emails & about Spellbound in general — we're hoping the branding helps accomplish this.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes! We’ll walk you through onboarding, including connecting a custom domain and getting whitelisted by email clients so you can send interactive emails.
